How have I improved from AS Level?

Since AS Level I feel that I have improved a great amount in my research and planning. This year for my A2 research and planning I feel that I have gone into a lot more depth and detail. This year I made sure I evaluated my posts and made sure I had an extensive amount of information to use, as well as the use of technical terms.
My editing skills have also improved from AS level as I have learnt how to do certain tasks, such as colour correction and cropping a clip so that the framing is smaller, these areas make my work look more refined and up to a professional standard.
this year I feel that overall a lot more effort has been put into my work and as a whole project. As a group we made sure we had a structured plan for filming days and the footage that needed to be shot rather than wasting time on unnecessary footage. Overall I feel that our group was successful and our team work not only made the coursework very enjoyable but up to quite a high standard too.
another area of improvement was our equipment used this year. At AS we used a smaller camera that was of lower quality; as seen in the image on the left. This year we was able to work with a new camera that was larger and was of high HD quality, making our work look more refined and professional. As well as, we used better technology as a whole for example, studio lights and projectors to make our work brighter and more artistic.

I found that this years unit of coursework was quite different from last years and a lot more enjoyable too. This years unit allowed us to be far more creative and explore a range of ideas. Compared to last year we had less limits on mise en scene as we were not given a restraint on costume, setting, etc unlike last year when we were given a genre brief we had to oblige to. This year we used a variety of locations unlike only using two last year. overall I feel that my creative confidence has grown and the ideas that I put across were somehow fit into our video. As an overview, the music video was a lot more fun to make than the thriller opening from last year
My knowledge on technology and media has a whole has vastly improved since AS level and I am extremely pleased with our final product.
